What a fantastic day we had today, we went shopping in the area between the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. In that area, you will find any kind of shop from local Italian shops to high-end designer shops. The shopping is fantastic, it isn’t the kind of shopping experience you would get in a mall or in America. It is more relaxing and getting a feel for the local style in Italy. All the shops are beautiful, and the clothing is amazing. I highly recommend shopping in Roma, especially if you are wanting to invest in a designer handbag, watch, or jewelry. We found that the prices were very hard to beat compared to prices in America.
In between shopping and exploring, we stumbled upon this coffee shop called Cafe Greco by the Spanish Steps, which is 250 years old. The coffee, of course, is spectacular, but it’s really the experience and the history that this coffee shop holds that makes it worth the visit. The servers still hold the tradition by dressing up in Tuxedos. I highly recommend stopping in if you visit Roma.
Every time we travel, I love buying a handbag from the country it is originally from. I purchased my newest Valentino in Roma. My husband bought from a local Italian clothing line called Paul Taylor. Maybe I should have a Modish Men section in my blog?!
I wore a denim mini skirt, which is very comfortable, a pair of leather converse, and this oversizeT-shirt which I tied in a knot in front. I adored this outfit, it went perfectly with my Loewe Hammock Handbag. This outfit would have been comfortable to explore in as well. We ended our shopping day with a delicious Italian meal and some gelato of course.
